Every action you do in AWS is an authenticated and approved API request. API calls to services and resources in AWS can be made via the AWS Management Console, the AWS Command Line Interface (CLI), or the AWS Software Development Kits (SDKs).
The Amazon Web Services Management Console
The web-based console, where you log in and click on the relevant service, is one approach to manage cloud resources. When you initially start working with the cloud, this may be the simplest approach to generate and manage resources. The screenshot below depicts the landing page when you initially connect into the AWS Management Console.
The services are classified as computing, database, storage, security, identity, and compliance.

The Region option is located in the upper right corner. If you click it and select a different Region, you will make requests to the services in that Region. The URL also changes. By changing the Region, the browser is directed to a whole other AWS Region, represented by a different subdomain.
